VariSearch: TrEx wants to provide as much aid and assistance to webmasters as possible. This system is designed to help webmasters get traffic to their sites in a simple, cost-effective way.

This is the main 'central yard' of TrEx, which is traffic exchange software that we have created. It allows for other webmasters to establish similar 'yards' on their own website. We also offer a network, called VS-TEN, which allows webmasters of TrEx, or any other traffic exchange package, to connect their exchange to ours, and the other network members.

TrEx software is written in a combination of PHP 4.2 and JavaScript. It uses MySQL as its core database. No outside development components were used. This product is wholly owned and copyright © 2004-2005 by Richard F. Parker, Founder of VariSearch.

VariSearch is a new kind of Search Engine which is still in the early stages of development. We have a basic directory / FFA system (with permanent links, not temporary ones), and are gathering data from webmasters at no charge to them. We are currently developing a series of robots/spiders that will surf these sites so that users can locate any information on the site. This is different than other popular search engines, because we are developing a contextually-relevant system for the search user: we will ask them progressively more specific questions until their list of results gets down to a manageable size.

Who's Rich Parker?

Rich Parker has been a professional software developer since 1982, working on various systems that needed hooked together via software. He has developed over 40 commercial applications in the healthcare field, and 50 vertical EDI applications. His software has been installed and used in 18 of the world's time zones, including 35 automotive suppliers, over 100 hospitals, and 500 occupational therapy clinics. He developed the VariForm database - a metadata-based self-modifying database and presentation system, in 1992-1994, when most people didn't even know what metadata was.

Rich is the Founder of VariSearch, Webmaster of this site, and developed the software for the search engine, the various web crawlers for this site, as well as the TrEx traffic exchange.
